How do the Saturday classes work for A-level students?

Saturday Classes

Saturday School runs through the academic year – a total of 29 Saturdays from September to May. There are three terms, with 11 Saturdays in Term 1, nine Saturdays in Term 2 and nine Saturdays in Term 3.

Each Saturday, A-level students (either A2 or AS) in small groups of about three to four (a maximum of six students) spend 90 minutes on each subject. Most students take two subjects and spend a total of about 3.5 hours at out centre each Saturday. Some students take just one subject and spend 90 minutes learning each Saturday. Three subjects is the maximum recommended on each Saturday.

It is just like a typical school timetable, with students studying one subject after the other, with a short break between subjects and a longer one at lunchtime. The only exception is that students are in very small groups and they also receive one-to-one tutorial in addition. Our systems is based on small group teaching with individual one-to-one support.

Our grade guarantee applies to A-level students who enrol for two full academic years. Please see terms and conditions for the grade guarantee.

In addition to the Saturday classes, Excel in Key Subjects also offers Intensive Revision courses during Christmas, Half Term, Easter and Summer holidays, as well as one-to-one tuition.
