Part-time Office Assistant Required – Croydon and Greenwich Admin position

We are looking for an Office Assistant to work on Saturday mornings from 8am to 3pm. The job is mainly during school term time and it would suit someone who lives near Croydon or Greenwich. There is the possibility of an additional one or two days of weekday work for the right candidate. This additional weekday role will be based at our main new office location in Central London.

The job:

  • Setting up the office for the day
  • Receiving students and parents upon their arrival
  • Making and receiving calls
  • Ordering materials needed by the teachers
  • Collating absentees list and ringing up parents
  • Making and receiving calls

Requirements

  • A good command of English language is important as it involves taking phone calls. The successful candidate must also be very presentable and smartly dressed.
  • A basic knowledge of using a computer is very helpful
  • Knowledge of the British education system would be helpful
  • Knowledge of working in schools would be an advantage but is not essential
  • Presenting what we do to parents in person or on the telephone
  • Other office and admin support tasks as and when necessary.

About us

Excel in Key Subjects is a Saturday School providing for secondary school children. We are looking for two people to work on Saturday mornings during school term time at two of our centres. The two centres are Trinity School in Croydon and Greenwich University in Greenwich. One person for Greenwich and one person at Croydon.The rate of pay will vary between £8.50 and £9.50 per hour, depending on the candidate and the responsibility they are offered.

Excel in Key Subjects provides extra tuition to teenage students. Our communication is directed at parents who have children of secondary school age and who are looking for extra provision to improve their children’s performance in school. Knowledge of the British education system would be helpful
