AS exam results – look forward to next year with optimism!

If you have just received your AS level result, take stock and reflect on your achievements. Be aware of what lies ahead, as it is important for you to appreciate the importance of A-level. If you can help it, do your best to include the most useful A-level subjects in your choice of the subjects that you study for the full two years.

Try and include at least two of the following in your choice of A-level:

  • English
  • Maths
  • Further Maths
  • Physics
  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • History
  • Economics
  • Geography
  • Music
  • Modern or Classical Languages such as French, German, Italian, Spanish, Latin and Greek

If it is too late for you to include at least two of the above subjects, do your best and go for maximum attainment in whatever set of subjects you are studying.

The next 10 months of your life will shape the rest of your future. So, start preparing for that today and not tomorrow.

Getting high grades in your A-level exams and gaining admission to a top university is more useful for the rest of your life than doing a job while studying; particularly if the job is a distraction from your studies.

Please read our blog post concerning students receiving A-level results as well, as it may help you to begin to think about where you want to be this time next year.
