GCSE Consultation Tutorial A (online lesson via Zoom/Microsoft Teams)

1st Teaching session - 50 minutes for GCSE students

Assignment set - usually exam standard questions, based on the topic covered

A 30-minute tutorial, to go through the work that was set - 2^nd Teaching session

The student spends at least 4.5 hours with the Subject Consultant (a high calibre teacher) for each tuition session. For a minimum of  about 3 hour, individual attention is provided on particular areas of need. The rest of the tuition session comprises of the student practising other skills or attempting examination-type questions, under the supervision of the teacher. There is usually a couple of breaks during the session. In addition, at the end of the session, the teacher sets written work for the student to take home, complete and send in for marking. The work is marked, with a meaningful feedback comment provided. Before the consultation session, the student is expected to complete an information sheet, to inform the teacher of the areas he or she wishes to focus on.

The fee for Consultation B is £325 per session. This programme is very popular and is subject to the availability of consultants, as sessions are conducted by the very top teachers only. All sessions are held at our one of our centre and are usually on a Saturday.

For a minimum of 1 hour 30 minutes, individual attention is spent on particular areas of need. The rest of the tuition session comprises of the student practising other skills or attempting examination-type questions. There is usually a break during the consultation session. At the end of the consultation session, the teacher sets written work for the student to complete at home, and then send in for marking. The work is marked, with a meaningful feedback comment provided. Before the consultation session, the student is expected to complete an information sheet, to inform the teacher of the areas he or she wishes to focus on.

General information about Tuition

Students usually book between four to eight tuition sessions per subject. However, the exact number of sessions booked depends on the need of each student. To suit your requirements we are as flexible as possible when arranging tuition classes. Sessions will be organised for a time which suits the student and the subject teacher. A cancellation may be made if the student has a good reason that prevents them from attending tuition, provided that we have 48-hour notice. There are circumstances in which 24-hour notice for cancellation is acceptable. The cancelled tuition session would be rescheduled for an alternative time.
