A Level Revision Part 1

In this interview, Mr. Musty sat down to speak to one of Excel in Key Subject’s former pupils, Esma Akkilic. The main focus of the conversation was about A Level revision and how best to plan and prepare for A Level exams. Esma is a star pupil! After obtain 12 A* grades at GCSE, she went on to achieve four A grades at AS level, making her the perfect student for this discussion.

The first half of the conversation focussed on issues such as:

  • The different between GCSE and A Level revision
  • The discipline and self sufficiency needed during A Levels
  • Choosing your own A Level subjects

The second half of the interview covers the following topics:

  • The A Level revision mindset
  • Timetabling and organising your time for revision
  • The need for consistency when studying
  • Working with regular breaks, 90 minutes with 15 minute breaks
  • Avoiding distractions during revision
